Tees Design – Commission Work & Personal Project This project showcases a collection of T-shirt designs I developed through a mix of commissioned work and personal creative exploration. Each design follows a thematic spectrum from dark, atmospheric concepts to brighter, uplifting visual narratives highlighting my adaptability in capturing diverse moods and styles. All designs were created using Adobe Photoshop, with attention to composition, wearable aesthetics, and storytelling through graphics.

My Approach

My approach began with understanding the core message or emotion behind each design request. For commission pieces, I translated client visions into compelling visuals that worked within the constraints of fabric printing. For personal projects, I explored themes like light vs. darkness, emotional growth, and visual symbolism, experimenting with texture, layering, and type integration. I aimed for each tee graphic to feel intentional, expressive, and fashion-forward.

Vision and Innovation

The vision behind this collection was to create T-shirt designs that not only look visually appealing but also carry a strong visual identity making the tee itself a canvas for self-expression. I sought to innovate within the limitations of monochrome or minimal palettes while still delivering depth and meaning, especially in darker-themed artworks.

Identifying Unique Challenges

One key challenge was designing graphics that work across various fabric types and printing methods without losing detail or impact. Additionally, creating balance between visually dense dark-themed designs and simpler, cleaner bright themes required intentional visual pacing across the collection.

Resolving Complex Problems

To address these challenges, I optimized all designs for screen and DTG (direct-to-garment) printing formats. I used high-resolution mockups and simulated print previews to test how textures and details would translate to fabric. Strategic use of contrast, negative space, and color overlays ensured each design maintained clarity and impact, regardless of tone or complexity.

Client-Focused Process

For commissioned tees, I collaborated closely with clients to refine the visual direction, often providing concept sketches and style variations before finalizing the artwork. Feedback loops helped ensure alignment with brand tone or personal style, while maintaining design integrity for apparel production.

Meeting Industry Needs

This project reflects growing demand for visually unique and emotionally driven apparel graphics in the fashion and streetwear space. The versatility demonstrated across dark and light themes positions me to work on a wide range of future projects from commercial merchandise to conceptual design capsules rooted in strong visual storytelling.
