Layout Design – Hagia Terra This layout design project was developed for Hagia Terra, a boutique coffee shop with a focus on elegant simplicity. The objective was to enhance the brand’s visual identity through thoughtfully designed menu layouts that seamlessly integrate typography and photography, tailored for both print and digital use.
My Approach
I aimed to create a visually balanced composition where text and imagery work in harmony. By combining refined typography with aesthetic product photography, the design reflects Hagia Terra’s calm and minimalist character while maintaining clarity and ease of use.
Vision and Innovation
The vision was to elevate the menu into a branded visual experience. Through clean layout structures, soft color palettes, and purposeful use of negative space, the design not only informs but also reinforces the ambiance and personality of the café.
Identifying Unique Challenges
A primary challenge was blending text with visuals without compromising readability. Another was maintaining visual consistency across various formats, from printed menus to digital displays.
Resolving Complex Problems
To address this, I applied modular grid systems and a clear typographic hierarchy to ensure legibility. Strategic image placement and layout testing helped create a cohesive flow that aligns with both user behavior and brand aesthetics.
Client-Focused Process
Working closely with Hagia Terra’s team, I incorporated feedback throughout the process to ensure that every layout detail aligned with their brand values and operational goals. This collaborative approach ensured both visual appeal and practical usability.
Meeting Industry Needs
This project exemplifies the importance of design in the F&B sector—showing how a well-crafted menu can strengthen brand identity, improve customer experience, and elevate the overall perception of a coffee shop in a visually saturated market.
