Video Editing – Mädchen House Vol. 2 Teaser This project features the creative editing process behind the Mädchen House Vol. 2 Teaser a short-form Instagram Reels video designed to build anticipation for the upcoming event Leave Some Love. Using curated clips from Mädchen Nights(Vol. 1), the teaser served as both a nostalgic throwback and a strategic promotional tool to introduce the next chapter in the Mädchen House series. The video resonated strongly with audiences, generating over 78,000 views organically.
My Approach
My approach was to create an emotionally driven and visually engaging teaser that hinted at the evolution from Vol. 1 to Vol. 2. I selected clips that emphasized crowd energy, intimacy, and shared moments setting the emotional tone for Leave Some Love, which focused on themes of love and connection. Smooth pacing and subtle transitions were used to guide viewers through a narrative of memory, longing, and anticipation.
Vision and Innovation
The vision was to bridge the storytelling between events by using past moments to introduce a new emotional theme. I incorporated text overlays and soft color grading that aligned with Vol. 2’s visual identity romantic, warm, and expressive. The teaser was intentionally designed to feel like a love letter to Vol. 1, while planting curiosity for what was coming next. Sound design played a key role, with audio timing used to build anticipation and emotional resonance.
Identifying Unique Challenges
One challenge was to repurpose existing footage in a way that felt fresh and relevant to the upcoming event. Since Vol. 2 had not yet occurred, the teaser needed to rely fully on the emotional tone and editing style to suggest a new narrative without revealing too much or overpromising.
Resolving Complex Problems
To address this, I constructed the teaser as a soft transition between volumes using visual motifs and pacing that subtly shifted toward the tone of Leave Some Love. Editing was done in Adobe Premiere Pro with motion and text treatments in After Effects. Careful attention was paid to aspect ratio, visual flow, and mobile optimization to ensure the teaser performed well in Instagram’s Reels format.
Client-Focused Process
The video was created in close collaboration with the Mädchen House creative team. Input was gathered on tone, messaging, and event positioning to ensure the teaser aligned with the larger promotional strategy. Iterative feedback ensured the final version delivered both emotional appeal and promotional impact.
Meeting Industry Needs
The Vol. 2 Teaser proved how repurposed content, when strategically edited, can serve as a powerful engagement tool. With 78k+ views, the teaser boosted online visibility, increased interest in ticket sales, and strengthened brand consistency. This project demonstrated how short-form video can effectively build momentum between events keeping the community engaged and excited.
