Video Editing – Mädchen House Vol. 10 Teaser This project highlights the editing process behind the Mädchen House Vol. 10 Teaser a short-form Instagram Reels video crafted to promote the tenth volume of the event series, titled Diversity (Halloween Edition). The teaser was constructed using curated clips from two previous Diversity-themed events (Volumes 8 and 9), weaving together suspenseful and playful visuals to build excitement for the Halloween celebration. The video was designed to be dark in tone, yet visually engaging and entertaining striking a balance between eerie and energetic. The teaser successfully gained over 5,000 views on Instagram.

My Approach

My approach was to create a teaser that felt cinematic, spooky, and fun all in under one minute. I combined high-energy event moments with Halloween-inspired visuals, enhancing the mystery and anticipation for Vol. 10. The pacing was carefully controlled, with rhythmic cuts, glitch effects, and dramatic lighting transitions that mirrored the intensity of the theme.

Vision and Innovation

The vision for this teaser was to remix and reinterpret past Diversity content into something fresh, cohesive, and thematically aligned with Halloween. I used a dark color palette infused with orange and red tones, along with rapid cuts, flashing elements, and subtle horror motifs. This approach brought a new dimension to the Diversity theme while preserving the signature vibrancy of Mädchen House.

Identifying Unique Challenges

The primary challenge was re-editing archival footage from two distinct events to create a new, unified teaser that felt current and cohesive. Blending different lighting conditions, energies, and moments into a seamless promotional video required creative transitions and consistent visual treatment.

Resolving Complex Problems

To overcome this, I used stylized transitions, thematic overlays (like flickering lights, Halloween icons), and matched color grading across all clips. Sound design also played a vital role in setting the mood I layered atmospheric effects and a rising beat to build tension and amplify excitement. Editing was completed using Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, optimized for mobile engagement on Instagram Reels.

Client-Focused Process

The teaser was developed in close alignment with the Mädchen House creative team. We collaborated on clip selection, tone, and messaging to ensure the final video matched the Halloween concept and still reflected the energy of the Diversity brand. Iterative feedback loops were used to refine pacing, transitions, and mood.

The Vol. 10 Teaser demonstrates how past event content can be repurposed creatively to promote new experiences while retaining brand identity.
