Video Editing – Mädchen House 2nd Anniversary Ft. Baby J This project showcases the editing work behind the official teaser video for Mädchen House’s 2nd Anniversary, featuring rising international DJ Baby J. Designed as a promotional Instagram Reels video, the teaser aimed to highlight the energy of the celebration while spotlighting Baby J’s appearance as the headline act. The video was constructed using semi-cinematic clips provided by the event team, and successfully reached over 35.5K views on Instagram amplifying the event’s visibility and buzz.

My Approach

I approached the teaser with a focus on creating a high-impact, visually engaging short-form video that felt cinematic yet energetic. The structure combined atmospheric slow-motion shots, quick crowd cuts, and dynamic close-ups of Baby J, gradually building momentum in sync with the audio. The goal was to build anticipation and create a strong emotional pull that would resonate with viewers and potential attendees.

Vision and Innovation

The vision was to present Mädchen House’s 2nd Anniversary not just as a party, but as a cultural moment with Baby J as the face of that moment. Through stylized editing, rhythmic transitions, and subtle glow effects, the teaser communicated a premium and elevated experience. The video’s visual style leaned into sleek, minimal edits paired with music-driven pacing to align with the brand’s identity and DJ culture aesthetics

Identifying Unique Challenges

One key challenge was working with external footage from various sources and lighting conditions, without full control over the shoot. Ensuring consistency across the edit both visually and tonally required creative flexibility and attention to detail in post-production.

Resolving Complex Problems

To achieve visual harmony, I implemented advanced color grading techniques, matched tones across shots, and used audio-reactive transitions. The teaser was edited in Adobe Premiere Pro with final enhancements in After Effects to maintain smooth pacing and cinematic polish. Focus was placed on building atmosphere while keeping the teaser concise and scroll-stopping.

Client-Focused Process

This teaser was developed in collaboration with the Mädchen House event and marketing teams. I worked closely with them to ensure the final output matched the brand tone, highlighted the talent, and delivered the impact needed for social media promotion. Feedback loops were integrated throughout the editing process to align the final result with their goals.
